A survivor of sexual assault, Kate Kay-Ryan bravely opens up about her story, the impact it had on her life and relationships, and how she’s arrived at where she is today. Here she speaks to us with courage, vulnerability and honesty about her journey.
Lynette Satalich shares her story of sexual assault with courage, strength and vulnerability. Having repressed what had happened to her at a young age, it wasn’t until later in life that she began having flashbacks of what had happened and had to face the trauma of the abuse.
Tarneen Onus Williams is a Yigar Gunditjmara, Wakka Wakka, Bindal, Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung and Torres Strait islander woman. With courage and strength, she shares her story of sexual assault, her experience of victim blaming and her hope that by sharing her story, it might help other survivors find the courage to speak up too.
Jane Green is a sex worker and spokesperson for Vixen Collective – Victoria’s peer-only sex work organisation. She courageously shares her story of sexual assault and speaks openly and honestly about the stigma surrounding sex work and the importance of listening to the voices of those most marginalised.
