Vulnerability: What does it mean to you?

Vulnerability is often seen as a weakness, but we know it to be a strength, paving the way for connection. It’s the foundation for empathy and it’s your ability to embrace emotions and open yourself up to feel and experience, with no guarantee of the outcome. We spoke to four wonderful women and non-binary people – Jessica Walton, Bethany Robinson, Julie Shinners and Meena Johnson – about their journeys with vulnerability: when they feel most vulnerable, what they struggle with and how opening themselves up to vulnerability has changed their lives.
