This idea that we’re unloved, undesired, or we’re just ‘fuck-ups’, is not true: Simona Castricum

Simona Castricum is a Melbourne-based musician, DJ and performer, who is also currently completing her PhD in Architecture. She talks to us about her experiences as a woman in dominant cis-gender culture which dictates that for trans women to be accepted - they must 'pass'. Instead, Simona talks about allowing people to just be - exactly as they are, alongside the concept of permission, and that to do so, we need to embrace empathy in all that we do and broaden concepts of femininity and of what it means to be and look like a woman.
