Carissa Lee on feminism

“Feminism has given me the right to fight.” Carissa Lee is an actor, writer and academic based in Melbourne. As a Wemba-Wemba woman, she has fought to have her voice heard and believes in the importance and value of providing platforms for women, especially those from diverse backgrounds that typically aren’t heard or seen in the mainstream media. As a young girl, she grew up amongst domestic violence and shares her story of how feminism has given her the right to fight and why it’s important to stand up for what you believe and fight for equality.
